Career Story
Mr. Caserta moved to Florida when he was 11 years old and spent his formative years in the Lakeland and Bradenton areas. Vic developed an impressive career in chemistry and international business. After studying chemistry at UF, he began his professional journey in chemical research at DuPont Chemicals R&D. During his time at DuPont, he was part of the team that developed the first semi rigid auto bumpers to replace chrome fenders. Over time, he transitioned across a variety of sectors, including rubber chemicals, the automotive and petroleum industries, and the cosmetic and crayon manufacturing sectors in Latin America, Asia and Europe. At Crayola (Binney and Smith-Hallmark), he assisted in the development of the first Silly Putty Moon Glow. His career further expanded as he developed business plans in Latin America and Europe, and has spent the last 20 years working on additives, sunscreen and skincare products. Vic is the former Business Manager for Presperse Sumitomo, a multinational company managing Southeast USA and Latin America markets. Since 2014, he has served as the President/Owner of Chemtech Domestic/International Consulting.
Mr. Caserta is married to Kathy Caserta. They devote their energies to giving back to the community through educational initiatives. An enthusiastic supporter of Beyond120, Vic remains deeply connected to the institution’s educational mission, particularly through his ongoing partnership with the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, where he serves as a member on the Board of Directors. He is committed to working with Beyond120 to create professional development opportunities for students at the Aquarium. Once a modest water treatment plant, the Clearwater Aquarium has evolved into a $150 million facility that now plays a vital role in wildlife rescue, rehab and release, collaborating closely with the Fish and Wildlife Commission. The Aquarium’s transformation stands as a powerful example of visionary leadership and community engagement, and Vic is very proud to have been at the critical stages of its evolution.
